Report: The Year End May See BlackBerry Tablets

The smart mobile phone market is expected to witness yet another addition. Research In Motion, the maker of BlackBerry may come out with an 8.9 inch tablet by the end of this year. Competing with the Apple iPads and devices using Google’s Android the tablet is going to be something to look out for. The tablet is reported to have no cellular connectivity but it is going to use Bluetooth connectivity or WiFi to connect to smartphone devices.

It is also expected to have regular features like e-book reading, e-mailing, Web browsing, gaming and photo viewing. It can also be used for content creation and management. Reports say that it may weigh around 1.5 pounds and has an incredible battery life of 10 hours. BlackBerry is in thoughts to make additions to its product so that it can be an alternative to the Apple device. It is rumored that HP might also launch its own tablet later in the year. However, bigger than a smartphone and smaller than a laptop, the touch screen tablet is expected to become a new revolution.
