According to a recent report on North American mobile OS market share for May 2010 by Quantcast, Android’s market share is growing. The report measured the mobile web consumption based on mobile OS for smartphones.
Apple led the way with 58.4% market share. Android is second with 19.9% and RIM is third with 10.4%. The remaining 10.9% is divided between other companies like Nokia, Microsoft and Palm. The smartphone market has grown considerably in the last year. The numbers how that Android’s share of the market has grown; it has a 12.2% increase from last year. The iOS market share has decreased to 8.1% in comparison.
