MacBook Pro Now Comes With New Exciting Features

Apple launched its improved range of MacBook Pros recently. The pocket-friendly ($1799) 15″ model is updated with a 2.4 GHz Core i5 processor and is much faster than its predecessors. The new entry level models use Core i5 and Core i7 processors instead of Core 2 Duos used by previous MacBook models.

The new Core i5 and i7 processors have got some interesting features like Hyper-Threading and dual cores which improves the overall performance. Turbo Boost, another core i7 technology improves the processor speed up to 2.93 GHz. The 15″ MacBook pro features improved features like 320 GB, and 5400-rpm hard drive. The improved 2.4 GHz Core i5 MacBook Pro also runs much faster in Photoshop test suite, Cinebench CPU test, and MathematicaMark 7 test. The 15″ and 17″ model also come with improved graphics switching technology. The only area where i5 MacBook Pro could not do that well is in WorldBench 6’s multitask test. Results of the test reveals that i5 iMac to be at least 44% faster than the new 15″ MacBook Pro. In overall rankings, 2.53 GHz Core i5 or 2.66 GHz i7 MacBook pro is a winner when compared to iMac.
