iPhone Most Dominant OS: AdMob

According to a report by AdMob, the iPhone remains the dominant OS, in the U.S and worldwide. The company examined worldwide traffic to its ad networks for February 2010 in three categories: smartphones, feature phones, and mobile Internet devices.

It found that smartphones account for 48% of its traffic, while feature phones accounted for 35% of its traffic. Worldwide, the most popular smartphone OSes were the iPhone, Android, and Symbian. The top feature phone manufacturers were Samsung, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, and LG. Mobile Internet devices had 17% of the market, with the iPod touch controlling 93% of that traffic, followed by the Sony PSP and Nintendo DSi.
