New “universal” apps are available in Apple’s App Store. These apps are designed for all Apple mobile devices. If you run the app in a small screen, you will get the iPhone version of the app. When you open the app in your iPad, you will get a customized version of the app for the iPad.
These universal apps can be identified in the App Store by a small plus (+) sign that appears at the left of the apps price in search results. A few apps that support this format like Pandora, WordPress, Evernote, Instapaper Pro are already available. Apple’s e-Reader app, iBooks, is not one of them. The app will work on other devices through the iTunes library, only if your iPad is synced to your PC.
